About the Job

The Software Development Manager at our growing SaaS company will lead a dynamic team of developers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. The manager will drive continuous product improvements, mentor team members, and play a key part in shaping the company’s product roadmap.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead a team of developers in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality SaaS software solutions that meet business needs and deadlines.
  • Oversee the programming, integration, and testing of software systems, collaborating closely with both onshore and offshore cross-functional teams to drive efficient and scalable product development.
  • Ensure timely project completion, fostering a culture of continuous product improvement.
  • Participate in code reviews while mentoring developers to improve their skills and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Take ownership and ensure robust testing processes that align with the company’s fast-paced release cycle.
  • Collaborate with business leadership to align product development with the company’s vision, roadmap, and growth plans, ensuring that software solutions contribute to the company’s scaling efforts.
  • Assess current application designs, working with technical and business teams to recommend and implement solutions that improve system efficiency and scalability.
  • Identify and address system performance issues, develop solutions for recurring challenges, and create standard operating procedures to streamline processes.
  • Actively diagnose and resolve system faults, using data-driven approaches to ensure software systems maintain reliability and meet user expectations.
  • Lead the development of new, user-facing features, ensuring they align with customer needs and provide a seamless user experience as the company expands.
  • Take on additional duties or special projects as assigned, with opportunities to grow into a more strategic, executive-level role within the company as it scales.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems or computer engineering.
  • 2 or more years’ experience managing a software development team.
  • 5 or more years’ experience in business application development.
  • Expert-level knowledge of:
  • Microsoft .NET technology stack (C# / .NET Core, ASP.NET, Azure, SQL Server, ReactJS, JavaScript, Azure DevOps).
  • Displays innovation and expects the same from their team.
  • Self-motivated, team player, strong communicator.

Where you'll be working

This is a hybrid full-time role based out of our Richardson, TX office. Monday-Thursday will be spent in-office and Friday is a work-from-home day.
