Job Purpose
Assist the Production Planner in ensuring that production orders are created, scheduled, and distributed efficiently. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in GSS and other systems, coordinate with production teams, and provide floor support to help ensure smooth and on-time manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Create and print labels for production orders.
• Distribute production orders across the shop floor in coordination with supervisors and operators.
• Use the GSS system to generate stock orders and interact with the production department to confirm requirements.
• Perform product tests on the production floor to estimate dispatch times and detect possible delays.
• Assist in tracking the progress of production orders and updating schedules accordingly.
• Support the planner in monitoring stock levels and suggesting adjustments to order priorities.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, changes, and reports.
• Collaborate with other departments (Quality, Maintenance, Logistics) to solve production-related issues.
• Provide coverage for the Production Planner in case of absence.
Requirements
Education : Technical degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience : Minimum 1 year in production planning, scheduling, logistics coordination, or administrative support in manufacturing.
Languages : Bilingual Spanish/English (preferred).
Computer Skills:
• Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
• Comfortable working with ERP/MRP systems (knowledge of GSS, SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred).
• Tech-savvy and quick to learn new software tools.
Other Skills:
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Basic math skills for calculations related to production times and quantities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and proactive.
