Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION

The primary function of Customer Service is to support Seal Company’s sales objectives by maintaining on-going sales initially established by the Account Manager. Support, seek, contact, and negotiate with current customers and attain sales for the Company. Prepare and communicate customer price quotations. Technical order assistance when necessary. Generate accurate customer quotations and sales orders. Specification, purchase order terms, and conditions review. Partner with assigned Account Manager to complete daily activities in a timely manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Not inclusive)

  • Specification review.
  • Purchase Order terms and conditions review.
  • Brings inventory shortages to the purchasing department’s attention.
  • Initiates and sustains work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Generate accurate customer quotations.
  • Follow up on Quotes. Obtain the why on Lost Quotes (Pricing, Lead time, etc.)
  • Identify decision makers and targeted leads to begin sales process and then pass to Account Manager.
  • Partner with assigned Account Manager to complete daily activities in a timely manner.
  • Generate accurate sales orders.
  • Gets agreement from the production department on customer ship dates prior to committing the order.
  • Maintains customer information in CRM.
  • Ensures that all company transactions are conducted in an ethical and prudent manner.
  • Settles all customer complaints at this level and seeks guidance from the Customer Service Supervisor.
  • Remains in consistent contact with established customers to ensure their satisfaction with the products and the company's services.
  • Follows through on leads, contacts, and commitments in a timely fashion.
  • Keeps informed on competitors' selling policies, tactics, services, and prices offered.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Required—High School Diploma/GED and 2 years’ experience in a customer service or sales role.

Preferred – Business Administration degree and 3 years’ experience.

Compensation details: 23-26 Hourly Wage
