Summary

Intueor intends to hire one or more ERP Functional Project Managers to staff its management consulting projects. The ERP Functional Project Manager (PM) is responsible for assisting clients in implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems for a large and complex public sector agencies. In a consulting role, the ERP Functional PM will work closely with Intueor’s clients and represents the client’s interests while working with ERP Systems Integrators/Vendors (who will be responsible for implementing the selected ERP systems for the client).

Additionally, from time to time, the ERP Functional PM will lead/participate in conducting assessments of legacy ERP systems, developing/analyzing business processes for clients, defining product-agnostic functional and technical requirements, developing procurement documentation, supporting the evaluation of viable ERP systems that adequately address current and future ERP needs of public sector agencies.  Extensive experience in implementing or managing the implementation of Workday Finance/Workday HCM is essential for this position. This is a full-time position with 100% onsite presence required in San Jose CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and managing Workday ERP systems implementation project. Project managing Workday ERP systems implementation including scope, schedule, budget and risk management.
  • Monitoring project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; and recommending actions as relevant to the interests of Finance and HR functions.
  • Serving as a resource to other participating departments and project personnel as needed to provide guidance, analysis, recommendations, and advice regarding the comprehensive and consistent application of public sector best practice and organizational policy.
  • Understanding and interpreting enterprise-level financial/HR policies, procedures, objectives, and processes that are pertinent to ERP systems.
  • Identifying and communicating enterprise-level requirements, standards, guidance, and preferences relating to ERP system requirements, including applicable regulatory requirements (GASB, etc.).
  • Ensuring that functional and technical requirements are appropriately included in the ERP system implementation. This also includes standardizing business processes and procedures throughout the agency and applying best practice processes where appropriate.
  • Participating in the functional design, reviewing design documents, and ensuring the enterprise-level requirements are met. Examples include chart of accounts re-design, streamlining payroll processes, designing interfaces between ERP and other enterprise systems (EAM, EPM, etc.), regulatory reporting, compliance with standards.
  • Participating in the conversion/migration of existing legacy ERP data to Workday ERP solutions.
  • Participating in other system implementation phases and activities and coordinate the participation of other client staff, such as design, configuration, testing, training, go-live and post-go-live support.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience supporting Workday ERP Systems implementation projects in support of public sector agencies that are responsible for building, operating and maintaining public/civic infrastructure including but not limited to Transit and Transportation.
  • Experience in all phases of Workday ERP systems development and implementation methodologies, including requirements/process definition, analysis, fit-gap analysis, configuration and customization, ERP systems integration, testing, implementation, and post-implementation support.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience in delivering executive presentations, stakeholder management, vendor performance management, and serving as a liaison between ERP Systems integrator/Vendor and Client staff.

Minimum/Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent related experience.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience leading or project managing Workday ERP implementations.
  • At least 2 successful Workday ERP implementations for public sector agencies.
  • Demonstrable functional knowledge and expertise in one or both of the following:

(a) Public sector/transit agency financial management: finance, accounting (A/P, A/R, GL), planning and budgeting, grants, project costing, procurement and purchasing, public sector reporting, etc.

(b) Public sector/transit agency human capability management (HCM): human resources information management, payroll, benefits administration, learning and management, recruitment, talent management, grievance management, etc.
