Responsibilities:

Our Systems Integration team is looking to expand and has a role available for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer, based in Oakland, CA, and regularly attending a project office for a major transportation project in San Francisco, CA.

Systems integration is an interdisciplinary field of engineering and engineering management that focuses on how to design, integrate, and manage complex systems to ensure they meet the technical and performance requirements and can be demonstrated as safe and ready to operate.

The role is responsible for managing and providing oversight of systems engineering activities on a train control project. The successful candidate will work directly with the client and must be flexible to adapt to the client’s needs as the project progresses.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 (seven) years of experience in systems engineering efforts on rail systems project(s), including one or more of:
  • Rail systems design
  • Implementing systems engineering processes (requirements management, interface management, verification and validation, RAMS, etc.)
  • Project management
  • Development of management plans
  • Engaging directly with client points of contact
  • Certification as INCOSE SEP is preferred.
  • Certification as PMP is preferred.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools is preferred.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
