Production Engineer

A global AI/ML Asset Management firm is hiring a Production Engineer in their global trading infrastructure team. The firm is seeking a talented and motivated Production Engineer with expertise in automating and troubleshooting a broad range of technical infrastructure.

As a Production Engineer at the firm, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our high-performance trading systems and infrastructure involving developing systems to process and analyze real-time market data feeds, identifying trading opportunities, and executing orders. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with industry-leading quants and technologists in an intellectually stimulating environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build systems to support the entire lifecycle of mission-critical trading systems applications
• Expand and improve upon existing processes, pipelines, and systems for trading research, development, deployment, configuration management, and monitoring
• Build tools to support real-time trading operations by automating tasks to reduce complexity and human involvement in critical systems
• Design and implement front-end systems to allow users to configure, deploy, and control their own production processes and pipelines

Requirements:

• Expertise in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux systems, from hardware and kernel to applications
• Experience managing and debugging production services
• Python and Bash scripting experience
• Working knowledge of SQL, Ansible, Redis, and data administration
• Broad technical knowledge including some understanding of Linux (threading, memory management), networking (TCP and UDP), software lifecycle processes
