Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Product Manager will be responsible for the strategic development and lifecycle management of adhesive, sealant and coatings products for industrial and construction applications. This role involves understanding market needs, driving product innovation, and ensuring product success from conception through to market delivery.

CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Product Strategy: Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with the company's business goals, focusing on growth, profitability, and market share.
  • Participate and understand product requirements regarding HPD’s, Regulatory Requirements, Code Requirements, Environmental Requirements, etc. Participation or representation of the company as appropriate within ARMA, SWRI, SPRI, ABAA, AAMA, ASC, IIBEC or other Industry Associations.
  • Product Development: Direct responsibility for R&D team, responsible for product development project management and customer/opportunity specific deliverables.
  • Lead cross-functional teams of R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to develop products. Define product specifications, manage development timelines, and ensure products meet quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Develops strong key decision maker relationships. Builds strong partner relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Provides consistent, concise, accurate internal and external communications.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to the industry staying educated on new regulations, innovative product solutions, application equipment, and market trends.
  • Travel by car or plane to see customers in person. Travel approximately 10% of the time.
  • Attend seminars, conferences, and trade shows as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Must possess 5-10 years of relevant industry experience in adhesive, sealant, and coating solutions or adjacent industry. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree in a relevant area is a plus. Must possess an “entrepreneurial” and a “service-first” mindset. Demonstrated technical aptitude for taking charge and solving problems. Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and cooperatively within a team environment. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must possess proficient reporting skills and have meticulous attention to detail. Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
