This role is for an Operating Room Nurse in an acute care hospital setting. The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care in the operating room, collaborating with the surgical team and adhering to established protocols and procedures. The position requires a minimum of two years of experience and involves on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
- Providing direct patient care in the operating room setting.
- Preparing the operating room and ensuring proper sterilization techniques.
- Assisting surgeons and other members of the surgical team during procedures.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and administering medications as directed.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
- Responding to on-call requests.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Minimum of two years of hospital experience (preferably in an operating room setting).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
- Interdisciplinary team collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
Special Considerations:
- On-call responsibilities include 2 primary weekday calls (2230-0600) and 2 secondary weekday calls (2230-0600) within a 6-week cycle. On-call also includes 2 primary weekend calls (one 12-hour shift, 0630-1900 or 1830-0600) and 2 secondary weekend calls (one 12-hour shift, 0630-1900 or 1830-0600) on Saturdays and/or Sundays. The facility allows for one call-off per two-week pay period.
- Requires a reliable vehicle, driver's license, and insurance for travel to the facility.
- Return to office (RTO) is required.

- Shift type and scheduling details will be determined by the manager. The possibility of a block schedule may be considered at the manager's discretion.
