Labor & Employment Associate Attorney – National Platform & Union Focus | New York City, NY
A nationally respected law firm is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 2–4 years of experience to join its New York City office. This role supports a national labor and employment practice with significant exposure to both litigation and traditional labor law, including union matters and restrictive covenant work.

Key Responsibilities:
• Advise clients on compliance with federal and state labor and employment laws
• Represent clients in disputes involving wrongful termination, discrimination, and wage and hour claims
• Draft, negotiate, and review employment contracts and workplace policies
• Provide guidance on restrictive covenant enforcement and compliance
• Handle traditional labor law issues, including union negotiations and collective bargaining agreements
• Collaborate with attorneys in other offices on national labor matters
• Conduct legal research and write high-level memoranda and reports
• Stay abreast of evolving labor law and contribute to firm knowledge and thought leadership

Qualifications:
• 2–4 years of experience in labor and employment law, including litigation and counseling
• New York State Bar admission required; New Jersey Bar admission preferred
• JD from an accredited U.S. law school
• Strong legal writing, research, and communication skills
• Experience with restrictive covenants and union/labor issues highly valued
• Ability to manage matters independently with minimal oversight
• Detail-oriented and client-focused with strong interpersonal skills
