Job Description

Hope Family Thrift Store in Austin, TX is looking for one Furniture Pick Up Driver/Warehouse attendant to join our 14 person strong team. We are located in northwest Austin area near Wells Branch and Mopac. Our ideal candidate is friendly, self-driven, ambitious, and engaged. You must also have an active and eligible drivers license and the ability to move furniture on a frequent basis. Experience driving a box truck is preferred, but not required, we will train you.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility is to coordinate, schedule, and drive a box truck with a liftgate to pick up furniture and merchandise from individuals and other donor businesses.
• Greet and engage with donors dropping off household items at our location
• Cross-train to sort, prepare, and price merchandise for sale as needed
• Maintain an organized and clean work area in the receiving
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Must have a current Texas driver's license.
• Must be enthusiastic, prompt, reliable, and friendly
• Must be able to accept instructions and follow through with them
• Must be ambulatory and able to lift 30-45 lbs with ease.
