About the job :
Advantra is partnering with a high-growth enterprise software startup in San Francisco to hire a Founding SDR to scale the founder-led sales process for enterprise customers.

About the role:
You will build and execute the early sales development function, generating and qualifying leads, running outreach campaigns, and supporting enterprise deal flow. You will work directly with the CEO to shape processes, engage prospects, and support field sales at conferences.

Responsibilities

  1. Create pipeline using conference attendees, scientific paper authors, and industry partnerships.
  2. Build outbound campaigns using email, LinkedIn, and tools like Apollo and Clays.
  3. Engage qualified leads to generate meetings and opportunities.
  4. Navigate sales cycles and procurement processes with prospective enterprise customers.
  5. Collaborate with engineering to scope projects and showcase product capabilities.
  6. Attend and present at industry conferences to engage prospects.
  7. Track activity and maintain detailed records in CRM.
  8. Provide feedback on messaging and outreach effectiveness.

Core requirements

  1. 1+ years of sales experience in enterprise SaaS or startup environments.
  2. Experience selling products at 5 7 figure ACV.
  3. Proven ability to generate and qualify leads independently.
  4. Comfortable with cold outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn.
  5. Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and procurement processes.
  6. Experience working directly with executives or founders.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Must be based in San Francisco.
  9. Willingness to travel for conferences and client meetings.
  10. Strong interest in life sciences or drug discovery.

Nice to have

  1. Experience in life sciences industry.
  2. Experience selling complex technical products.
  3. Experience with sales automation or technical tools.
  4. Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot.
  5. Previous experience attending industry conferences.
