Job Summary:
The Safety Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety and environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance and a safe working environment within the plant. Key responsibilities include identifying and correcting hazards, conducting safety training and orientation, managing incident investigations, maintaining OSHA logs, overseeing contractor safety, and supporting workers' compensation and insurance claims. The role also involves preparing reports, tracking training compliance, conducting equipment safety reviews, and maintaining environmental permits. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of industrial safety experience, knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
