Location: St. Louis, MO

We design, develop, market, and distribute our product lines directly to consumers via social-commerce platforms as well as to some of the largest retailers around the world. Our product collections center around home & housewares, impulse, pet, health & beauty (sold under the S&T Inc. brand) and automotive appearance accessories (sold under the Viking brand). This position will be working on the S&T Inc. team.

What You Will Be Doing:

The Marketing Director is responsible for developing a unique brand identity and leading a team of existing, seasoned professionals with diverse skillsets and roles, to support existing social-commerce and traditional retail and to drive the business to reach and exceed growth initiatives for the S&T Inc. brand. The Marketing Director is to ensure all customer touchpoints are aligned with Schroeder & Tremayne’s values, are relevant, timely, consistent across platforms, drive business growth and within budget.

In addition, the Marketing Director will lead the S&T Inc. team to identify relevant items, industry and product trends, and marketing strategies. This includes, but is not limited to social media posts, influencer interactions, social-commerce storefronts, A+ content, etc. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, trend-driven, digital-first retail environment.

  • Define and build a compelling brand story for a line of existing products
  • Lead development of specific products and/or product lines and marketing strategies, positioning, messaging, go-to-market initiatives and management of marketing campaigns to raise awareness of and generate demand for products and services
  • Successfully engage with members of various teams (sales, operations, e-commerce, etc.) to develop and execute against set schedules for various marketing efforts including product launches, product promotions, influencer campaigns, etc.
  • Responsible for all communication and messaging to remain consistent across all platforms and customer touchpoints
  • Champion various development processes such as but not limited to: market research, competitive landscape analysis, viability assessments, and intellectual property searches
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, platforms and technologies to keep S&T at the forefront of digital innovation
  • Develop and maintain budget responsibilities
  • 10% travel (domestic and international)

Qualifications and Skills

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Business, or equivalent field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in product development , marketing, or brand management; with at least 2 years of managing or working on a social-commerce marketing team
  • Costing experience and the ability to negotiate costs with vendors and suppliers
  • Experience with marketing channels including Meta, Google, Affiliate
  • Well versed in analytic, attribution and measurement to measure impact of marketing in a social-commerce business
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with a high sense of urgency with ability to think creatively
  • Solid financial and business acumen and ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously
  • Ability to show up with an entrepreneurial spirit, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, and have a flexible mindset to achieve business objectives
  • Involvement with or interest/appreciation for the categories of products you will be working with on the S&T brand
