Our client, a leader in gas and electric utilities, is hiring a Data Architect to join their team in Merrillville, IN!

**This is a 1-year W2 contract with benefits**

As the Data Architect, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable database solutions regarding business intelligence, reporting, and analytics needs while ensuring compliance with corporate data standards. You will work closely with stakeholders to evaluate structural requirements, implement optimized data models, and deliver executive-ready reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement effective database solutions and models for storing and retrieving company data
• Assess database structural needs by evaluating operations, applications, and business requirements
• Prepare accurate database design and architecture documentation for management and project teams
• Ensure all data solutions align with standards, policies, and industry best practices
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports tailored for executive and HR audiences
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure robust and flexible system architectures.

Desired Skills:

• 7+ years in a Data Architecture role
• Strong background in designing scalable data architectures and solutions .
• Expert in Microsoft Excel and Power BI .
• Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Word, Outlook, and Teams .
• Knowledge of database structures, relational systems, and data mining techniques .
• Familiarity with standards/best practices bodies and the energy industry .
