Job Description

Compass Healthcare Consulting & Placement is conducting a search for an experienced Compliance Auditor for a Licensed Home Care Agency located in Brooklyn, NY. Qualified candidates will have extensive LHCSA Home Care Compliance Auditing experience, will be process oriented, innovative, and work with the team towards process improvements. Good communicator, with Home Care Compliance Auditor experience and great people skills, will be considered..

The Compliance Auditor ensures the company's operations comply with applicable laws and regulations. They conduct audits, review documentation, educate staff, and make recommendations to improve compliance. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of clinical practices and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements in the home health sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing patient records, billing and coding documentation, and other relevant documents to assess compliance.
  • Ensuring accuracy and adherence to requirements in patient records and other documentation.
  • Providing training and education on compliance issues and best practices to staff.
  • Preparing audit reports, presenting findings, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Monitoring regulatory changes and industry best practices.
  • Working with management and other teams to address compliance issues and improve processes.
  • Participating in activities related to excluding unqualified providers and staff.
  • Developing and implementing audit plans, including risk assessments.
  • Assisting in the development of compliance policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, law, business, or a related field, preferred.
  • 3+ Years of relevant experience in LHCSA, Licensed Home Care Compliance
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
