Assistant Plant Manager

Twin Falls, ID

Assistant Plant Manager will be responsible for all site operations, process optimization and maintenance and reliability programs at the factory. This includes the safe execution of routine

maintenance and operations on all equipment, processes, and facilities. Responsible for both development and implementation with adherence to budgets and programs. This role contributes to the success of the organization by improving the reliability of plant assets through maintenance and continuous improvement of plant operations systems, Predictive and Preventative Maintenance Programs and Processes, failure investigation/Root Cause Analysis, solution development and project(s) execution. This role is also a key contributor to other factory and

company initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads, manages, and mentors the managers for department personnel under their responsibility
  • Career development: develop plans with employees and support objectives. Succession plan development: develop department key roles succession plan
  • Performance management: develop goals, provide coaching & measure performance
  • Coordinates factory activities to meet all the critical Key P Indicators and other performance metrics
  • Manage and optimize production processes to meet quality and output targets
  • Utilize MRP systems for effective inventory management
  • Plant safety program & initiative champion
  • Department & plant key performance indicator (KPI) development and execution
  • Develop plant-level programs and track adherence
  • Plant stakeholder, Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, planning & scheduling
  • Budget owner for operations and annual maintenance
  • Develop budget submissions, present to approval team, approve budget stewardship
  • Plant stakeholder for applicable reliability programs: Condition monitoring, PM/PdM program(s), failure investigation/Root Cause Analysis, etc.
  • Inter-campaign & outage scope development and execution

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred
  • 10-15 years experience in industrial manufacturing experience and 3-5+ years Leadership experience
  • Previous experience as an Operations Manager, Plant Manager, similar role, or any equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Manufacturing experience with a food production background is a plus
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply results from Preventative and Predictive Maintenance analyses through experience, training, or direction from a more knowledgeable source
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex equipment and maintenance problems
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
